I am licensed to do business in the City of Seattle and State of Washington and carry pet sitter's liability insurance for your peace of mind.
My contract is simple and straightforward and contains the following:
Terms and Conditions:
- Services and Payment. The Pet Sitter (Raindog Pet Services) is authorized to enter premises and perform care and services as outlined in this contract. The Client understands that this contract also serves as an invoice and takes full responsibility for prompt payment of fees. If service is ongoing, the Client agrees to pay invoices promptly upon receipt and/or at intervals agreed upon by both parties. There is a $25 fee for all returned checks. In the event that it is necessary to initiate collection proceedings on the account, the Client will be responsible for all attorney’s fees and costs of collection.
- Reservations and Cancellation. Reservations and changes in the Client’s regular schedule may be made in person, by phone and by email as far in advance as is possible. 24 hours notice is required to cancel a previously scheduled visit(s). If cancellation occurs within 24 hours of the scheduled visit(s), the Client may be charged full price for the visit.
- Performance of Services. The Pet Sitter agrees to provide the services stated in this contract in a reliable, caring and trustworthy manner. In consideration of these services and as an express condition thereof, the Client waives and relinquishes any and all claims against said Pet Sitter, except those arising from negligence or willful misconduct on the part of the Pet Sitter. In the event of personal emergency or illness of the Pet Sitter, the Client authorizes the Pet Sitter to arrange for another qualified person to fulfill the responsibilities as set forth in this contract. The Client will be notified in such a case. In the event of inclement weather or natural disaster, the Pet Sitter is entrusted to use best judgment in caring for the pet(s) and home. The Pet Sitter will be held harmless for consequences related to such decisions.
- Accidents and Damage. The Pet Sitter does not assume and shall not be held responsible for and liability, with respect to the pet(s) listed in this agreement, of any kind, character or nature, arising out of or from care of this pet(s), or any damages which may accrue from any other cause including loss by fire, theft, running away, death, injury to persons, animals or property or death or injury to any other animal, caused by within names pet(s) during the term of this contract, on or off the premises of the Client. The Client agrees hereby and is solely responsible for any and all acts of behavior of said pet(s) at any time within the term and time of this contract..
- Medical Issues. The Pet Sitter is authorized by the Client to seek emergency veterinary care with release from all liabilities related to transportation, treatment and expense. Should specified veterinarian be unavailable, the Pet Sitter will use best judgment to locate a veterinarian. The Pet Sitter is authorized to approve medical and/or emergency treatment (excluding euthanasia) as recommended by a veterinarian. The Client assumes responsibility for any expenses incurred.
- Future Services. The Client authorizes this signed contract to be valid approval for future services of any purpose provided by the contract, permitting the Pet Sitter to accept telephone and email reservations for service and enter premises without additional signed contracts or written authorization.
