Okay, if this isn't the cutest family ever, I will eat my camera. Normally I get very nervous if I'm asked to do "family shots" as part of a pet photo shoot because I've built up a store of expertise and equipment specifically geared toward capturing the best possible ANIMAL photos, but PEOPLE photography tends to be a totally different thing. I find it pretty difficult to make sure the people in a given shot are smiling and not looking weird, while also making sure the animals are not heading in 15 different directions! What I generally tell people who want family shots is that I'm game to TRY, but that I generally concentrate on the pets because that's my gig. If what you really want is family portraits with the animals thrown in as a bonus, then you've probably got the wrong photographer. All that said, I LOVED my shoot with this sweet family and we got about a zillion great shots. Truthfully, it was them, not me. They were a blast and had fun ideas and also amazing hair.
