Sure she's cute, but can she rap? Meet Iggy Azalea, a green iguana, and this week's CityStream Pet of the Week at the Seattle Animal Shelter! There's another Iggy Azalea who is a female rapper, but isn't nearly as gorgeous as this adoptable girl. The green Iggy is 3.5 years old and arrived at the shelter after losing her home. She has lived with kids and cats before, and she seems well-socialized and friendly. She seems to be comfortable being handled and touched. There is some concern that Iggy might be egg-bound, which is a reproductive condition in which her eggs can't be expelled for some reason. This would definitely be something to discuss with the shelter - it's likely that she would need care for such a condition before being adopted. In any case, she will make someone a wonderful, quiet companion. Iguanas need a suitable habitat, a proper diet, heat and light and stuff to do in order to have healthy, happy lives. If you're interested in adopting Iggy, make sure to do a little homework on iguanas so that you can be sure to provide her with what she needs. You will be richly rewarded with a lasting friendship with this amazing creature!
